This is a real comic, part of a 4 issue limited series. I must find hard copies of this for framing!

My letter to AT&T…awaiting response.
Dear AT&T,
While Festivus has since passed, I am however taking this opportunity
to engage in the airing of grievances and listing how you’ve
disappointed me this year. When I joined AT&T’s wireless community 13 months ago, I had some hope
of an adequate product (iPhone 4) provided by knowledgeable
servicepersons. The largest of your competitors have stores much
closer, offered the same business discount and claimed comparable
connectivity, yet I chose AT&T wireless out of brand loyalty for well
over 20 years of quality landline service. In truth the first two
months were not high speed but were tolerable enough. This has slowed
considerably over the course of the year in both my place of work (Zip
code of xxxxx) AND home (Zip code xxxxx). I do have use of wi-fi at
home but like the odd numbered Star Trek movie, I am merely tolerating
this indignity until future improvements occur.Your customer service staff online, while sympathetic, assures me
there is nothing out of the ordinary in my service area and of course
your in-store staff can find nothing wrong, as you provide excellent
coverage to your proprietary locations. Meanwhile I am switching from
3G to Edge networks constantly like some sort of underground dweller
desperately attempting to grab onto a beam of sunlight. Now I realize that your coverage map claims are the best case scenario
and are somewhat open to interpretation…. However I’m not sure in what language “best 3G” translates into “no connection”; I would use Google Translator on my iPhone but ironically, I HAVE NO CONNECTION.I’m attaching a year’s worth of speed tests. As you can see, the
connection speeds would only be described as “best” with the use of a
TARDIS or DeLorean at 88 mph to actually make time go backwards. Or
perhaps Superman changing the rotation of the Earth, but that always
seemed an unlikely plot device. As for my own situation, you have 11 months to achieve satisfactory
connectivity before I Escape from the Planet of the Gapes. I do not
like change, I would much prefer to remain an AT&T customer but
without adequate service, I am as ringless as Frodo leaving Mordor.
You can use Frodo’s finger for your own imagery.Sincerely,
Xxxxxxxx -
